January 5, 2005 Dear George, Nigel and I would like to thank you for the incredible
job you did in our basement last year.
In a week’s time you perfectly laid over 1200 sq. feet of porcelain
tile in the “basement” of our split level home in Redmond, WA. Having attempted tile jobs ourselves in the past, we
know that getting all that tile to transition smoothly from room to room in an
environment with no level flooring and no straight walls was not an easy feat.
I really enjoyed listening to you work through your problems in Czech,
smiling all the time :^)
I can assure you, such a job would not
leave me in such good spirits. Obviously you are man who likes a challenge and
are a perfectionist to boot. We absolutely love our new space, as do our dogs and
cats. The area is brighter, warmer, and so much easier to clean.
We are also incredibly thankful for your cost-effective advice of
installing ceiling fans to help keep the tile warm, since radiant heating was
not in our budget at that time.
I can assure you that in the future we will never attempt to
tile ourselves and always call “George The Tile Guy”, simply the best, most
honest, contractor we have worked with in the last 10 years. Best Regards, Lynn Paquette and Nigel Ellis P.S. A few months ago, our drainage system failed and some water seeped in from the front yard and UNDER the house into the basement area. Because you had used an acrylic additive and recommended porcelain tiles (vs. ceramic) in a damp area, not one tile popped during this misadventure in home maintenance. Your expertise obviously saved us the cost of retiling the downstairs and we are extremely appreciative. |
